We are introducing a new paper filter [wave] to be launched on October 24, 2024 (Thursday).
The ORIGAMI Wave Filter has a small wave angle and fits the 20 ribs that characterize the ORIGAMI dripper.
The fit of the paper filter to the ribs of the dripper makes the gap between the dripper and filter narrower and prevents hot water from escaping from the sides, resulting in high extraction efficiency and a robust flavor even with short extraction times.Because the hot water flows out of the coffee powder in a stable manner, the extracted coffee has a sweetness and body with reduced cloying taste.
Compared to the conical type, the wave type has a thinner layer of ground coffee powder, so the hot water takes less time to pass through the powder layer, and the extraction state of the upper and lower layers of the powder is almost the same, thus enabling stable coffee extraction.
Material
Natural pulp is used.
Shape
During production, the product is carefully pressed and manufactured in small quantities rather than in large quantities.
Since there is no individual difference and wrinkles and folds do not occur easily, stress in the operation is reduced.

GAMI dripper to reduce uneven extraction and bring out the flavors of the coffee.
Taste

ORIGAMI's new wave filter gave it a softer, velvety texture, creamier mouthfeel, and cleaner cup. Flavor is also better and less papery. Also, in terms of coffee fall-off time, the ORIGAMI Wave Filter averaged about 3 seconds slower than the traditional Wave Filter. When used out of the box, they are easy to separate and do not wrinkle or crease.
There are three main types of paper filter shapes: conical, wave, and trapezoidal.
The shape of the paper filter to be used depends on the shape of the dripper, but the ORIGAMI Dripper allows the use of two types of paper filters, the “conical” and “wave” types. Which paper filter to use is one of the most important factors when brewing delicious coffee. Even with the same coffee beans, the flavor of the coffee extracted can change by changing the paper filter.
