Flavor Cup
ORIGAMI flavor cups are created to match the ever-evolving “ style” of coffee drinking, with a focus on the elements related to the five senses.
We hope you will experience how much the shape changes the way you feel the flavor, and learn about the impact of color on your sense of sight.
A new color, pink, has been added to the lineup, and a size M with an increased capacity will also be available.
AROMA
Of the three types, the “Aroma” shape raises the chin highest when drinking coffee. This allows the coffee to flow into the mouth with great force, and the acidity is felt more strongly when it touches the back of the tongue.
BARREL
The “Barrel” is shaped with the chin at its lowest point. When you drink, the sweetness of the bean stands out because it first touches the tip of your tongue where you feel the sweetness.
PINOT
The Pinot is characterized by its curved shape at the point of contact with the mouth. The smooth, outward-facing curve allows the coffee to flow across the tongue, making it easier to capture flavors and enjoy a well-balanced taste.
Background on the addition of the new pink color
At the beginning of the development of the flavor cups, we developed the cups in only two colors, white and black, so that people can feel the difference in coffee flavors in a neutral way.
The black cup is hard to see the color of the coffee liquid, so it is possible to sharpen senses other than sight to fully experience the flavors and aromas of the coffee. The white cup allows you to see the color of the coffee liquid and enjoy the coffee while feeling the differences in the color of the liquid depending on the type of bean and roasting.
We decided to add a new color, pink, so that the sweet flavors and fruity elements of coffee can also be experienced in the flavored cups.

Since the weight of the cup also affects the taste, we have developed a flavor cup with a shape without a handle for a neutral state, a moderate weight that is neither too heavy nor too light, and a compact size that fits in the hand.The new M size cup is larger in size and has a wider mouthpiece than the existing S size cup, making it easier to feel the layers of flavors.
